In the work Encrypted Vision (2020), Niko Abramidis &NE connects embroidered red eyes with inverted triangles or pyramids on a canvas, treated with spray paint. In one way, the pair of eyes refers to hybrid creatures that often play an important role in the artist's pictorial worlds. In another, the combination of the two embroidered elements means the "Eye of Providence", a motif that has been used since ancient Egypt and is still found today in the symbolism of the Freemason and on the 1-dollar bill. Abramidis &NE paints a picture of the amalgamation of money and power, as well as certain symbols that are still used today in the corporate identity of modern companies. Triangles can often be found in the logos of companies that deal with blockchain and cryptocurrencies and, last but not least, there have been some scandals about pyramid schemes for cryptocurrencies.
