With Vision Equity Shares, Niko Abramidis &NE creates a value system that combines art and investment strategies. The editions are drawings made with the help of a pen plotter, the N-Machine, and each is unique in its execution. On the one hand, they stand as independent artistic works in the oeuvre of Abramidis &NE, at the same time they take on the role of shares in the artist's cosmos. Linked to a blockchain system, the Vision Equity Shares allow collectors to advance to shareholders. Invest in Abramidis &NE's vision to combine art and technology and to develop a personal sustainable value creation system in the sense of the Green Deal. Instead of concentrating on quick profits through short-term course changes, he relies on the belief in core values, is constantly expanding his cosmos and allowing loyal shareholders to participate. By regularly issuing shares, everyone has the opportunity to acquire a work of art and at the same time to support the entrepreneurial world of the artist. Dependent on rank, which is determined by the number and type of purchase, the shareholders are informed in order about the following editions and becomes part of a sophisticated system that questions capitalist financial strategies while simultaneously appropriating them. By founding an artistic joint-stock company, Abramidis &NE unites all of his works into one system blurring the boundaries between fiction and reality. As in many of the artist's series of works, the Vision Equity Shares cover a large time horizon combining old and new technologies and commentating on the intricate interdependence of the old and new economy. Formally, they refer to the stocks and bonds of earlier times, the drawing process of which was a counterfeit security and copyright protection. This task is now assimilated by the N-Machine for the Vision Equity Shares. The artist uses an RFID chip as a security feature, which is marked with a message and the name of the respective shareholder and can be recited by smartphone. The centerpiece of the second edition of Vision Equity Shares is an amorphous architectural building looming in the sky, lined with orange clouds. The structure seems to rise from a pyramid like a protective shield and at the same time reminding the viewer of the visualization of waves of information. Behind more pyramids, the global sun sets and another planet, in the form of an RFID chip, circles the ancient buildings and takes their place. At the lower right end a cartoonish figure is holding a kind of pathogen, to the left of which a hook is visible. It seems like this creature has successfully done its job and the way to the future – to Vision Equity – has been paved. The edition is designed in three color versions, whose drawings vary depending on the amount of ink, making each Vision Equity Share unique.
