In "Where your arrival is postponed" (2025) a street lamp, once part of public infrastructure, is relocated into an intimate and ambiguous space. Removed from its original context, it no longer serves a functional purpose but becomes a quiet marker of pause, distance, and waiting. Combined with a stained glass casing, it moves between the utilitarian and the ornamental, between what belongs to the collective and what speaks to the personal. The work reflects on the fragile threshold in between public and private, where boundaries soften and roles shift. It carries the symbolic weight of countless anonymous encounters that once took place beneath its light, yet here it becomes something different: a fragment of the outside world gently transformed into an object of contemplation. "Where Your Arrival Is Postponed" addresses the temporal states in which movement is interrupted and time seems to expand. It evokes moments of suspension when departure and arrival lose their clarity and we find ourselves inhabiting an in between space. The work suggests that even the most functional and standardized objects can contain traces of memory, longing, and stories that remain only partially visible.
