In Global Desert 2 (2020) an abstract, pastel-colored landscape painting opens up with three golden pyramids. The combination of the green spray paint in the background and the yellow of the embroidery make the pyramids seem to glow. Behind it, a salmon-colored sun sinks tone-on-tone against a background of the same color. The sun and the pyramids can be read as symbols of perseverance and persistence. The ancient buildings have largely survived any crisis since ancient times, while global corporations have become less and less stable over time.
