National Museum of Asian Art
The Smithsonian's National Museum of Asian Art unites the Freer Gallery and the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery in Washington, D.C. Opened in 1923, it holds Asian art from the Neolithic to today — Chinese jades and bronzes, Japanese screens, Korean ceramics, Islamic manuscripts — alongside Whistler's Peacock Room.
