En gång världens längsta bro i ett spann började byggas 1938. Brovalvet rasade när det återstod 12 meter av toppgjutningen. Ett 50-tal följde med i djupet, varav 18 omkom. Brobygget återupptogs och bron färdig att invigas i juli 1943. Fotosyfte: Dokumentation
