grundades på 1630-talet. Bruket hade tidvis ensamrätt att tillverka värjor åt kronan. De sista 175 åren, sedan privilegierna upphört, smiddes liar, yxor och andra bruksartiklar. Bruket var vid liv till 1948, då den siste wirasmeden gick ur tiden. I mitten av 1960-talet restaurerades bruket och 1970 flyttade Wägerths konstsmide sin verksamhet hit. Då öppnades även ett museum och kaffestugan. Wira är idag en vacker, levande bruksmiljö.
