Proveniens: Antikvarisk-topografiska arkivet (ATA). Carl Curmans samling. Magnus Fredrik Brahe lät bygga eremithyddan omkring 1820 som ett pittoreskt inslag i den engelska parken vid slottet Rydboholm. Fram till tidigt 1900-tal var hyddan åretrunt-bostad åt godsets parkvakt som hade som heltidsjobb att sköta om parken. Man kan fortfarande se rester av papptapeter på insidan, och det finns en stor murad spis i den bakre delen. Under 1800-talets senare del blev parken populärt utflyktsmål för stockholmare som tog sig dit med ångbåt. I parkhyddan såldes då kaffe och lemonad och denna verksamhet …
