Byggt under tidigt 1700-tal i sk karolinsk stil. Från 1890 till 1956 fungerade Karleby tingshus som skolbyggnad. Byggnaden restaurerades och återinvigdes 1965 som samlingslokal för bygdens invånare. Efterkrigstidens folkhem var en social och politisk vision av stora mått. Rättvisa och trygghet, välfärd, folkfostran och demokrati skulle byggas in i det svenska samhället och förändra svenskarnas vardag i grunden.
