Malmö konsthall öppnades 1975. Arkitekten Klas Anshelm har här skapat ett utställningsrum med stor flexibilitet, en generös rymd och ett fantastiskt ljus. Byggnadsmaterialen är ljusa och enkla; betong, glas, trä och aluminium. Störredelen av hallen har ett tak byggt som ett fackverk av 550 ljuskupoler. Resultatet är en konsthall som är både funktionell och estetisk. Efterkrigstidens folkhem var en social och politisk vision av stora mått. Rättvisa och trygghet, välfärd, folkfostran och demokrati skulle byggas in i det svenska samhället och förändra svenskarnas vardag i grunden. Folkhemstanken…
