Vid älven, mitt för sockenkyrkan, ligger kungsgården. Under medeltiden var den vid Husby säte för kronans fogdar och här var länge lagmans- och hövdingasäte. På Husby kungsgård stadfästes Dalalagen vid 1300-talets början och här utfärdade kung Magnus Eriksson år 1347 de äldsta privilegierna för Stora Kopparberget.
