Hult uppfördes i slutet av 1700-talet och har troligen varit en av Uggelviksgårdarna med hytta vid Österå. Namnet Hult fick gården på 1800-talet. Vackra väggmålningar av Nils Asplind finns inne i bostadshuset och i anslutning till gården finns rester av en praktfull parkanläggning. Gården har sannolikt legat på sin nuvarande plats sedan slutet av 1700-talet. Skyddet omfattar förutom mangårdsbyggnaden även kullstuga, brygghus, lekstuga, härbre, brädlada, vagnslider, dass och jordkällare.
