År 1164 uppfördes Roma kloster av cisterciensermunkar. Ca 1531 vid reformationen upphörde klostret och tillföll kungens länsherre. 1645 blev Gotland svenskt och fram till 1832 hade landshövdingar kungsgården som löneförmån. 1937 tog militären över gården och lämnade gården 1988. Fotosyfte:
