Uppförda under åren 1964-65. På grund av vikande befolkning och ett för stort antal vakanta lägenheter så tecknade Smedjebackens kommun år 2001 ett avtal med Statens Bostadsnämnd då bl a 300 lägenheter skulle avvecklas fram till utgången av år 2004. Planen blev något fördröjd, men till utgången av år 2005 kommer 292 lägenheter att vara avvecklade. Efterkrigstidens folkhem var en social och politisk vision av stora mått. Rättvisa och trygghet, välfärd, folkfostran och demokrati skulle byggas in i det svenska samhället och förändra svenskarnas vardag i grunden. Folkhemstanken förverkligades i b…
