Föreningshuset Aftonstjärnan byggdes 1903 av en nykterhetsklubb med samma namn. Tanken var att alla "oavsett färg och åskådning" skulle kunna hyra lokal för sammankomster. Aftonstjärnan fick ett rikt föreningsliv och en bio, Loppis. 1941 avvecklades föreningen och fastigheten såldes. 1952 lades Loppis ner. Huset har sedan härbergerat både karamellfabrik och smörgåstillverkning, samt ett plåtslageri. Byggnaden består av två huskroppar i vinkel - en föreningsdel och en bostadsdel. Föreningsdelen är helt i sten och bostadsdelen ett landshövdingehus - med bottenvåning i sten och två övervåningar …
