Den vitkalkade kyrkan ligger på Malmös högsta punkt 37 meter över havet omgiven av en kyrkogård och en minneslund - ansedd som Malmös vackraste minneslund. Fosie kyrka erhöll sin nuvarande utformning vid en ombyggnad 1896. Av den gamla kyrkan, troligen från 1100-talets senare hälft, återstår bara halva långhuset samt delar av tornet.
