Tunaläns härads tingsplats flyttades från Krokstorp till byn Ishult 1729. Till byggnadsminnet hör också häktet med celler och vaktrum samt det rödfärgade dubbla avträdet, tillkomna troligen i mitten av 1800-talet. Tingshuset fick sitt nuvarande utseende efter en brand strax före 1820 samt vid en om- och tillbyggnad 1917. Dess interiör är helt intakt med tingssal, arkiv, rum för domaren, länskammare, nämndemanskammare och rum för tingssökande. BM 31/7 1985.
