Svartvitt porträttfotografi av Johan August Svahn. Glasat och inramat i en oval ram. Utskriven notis på baksidan med följande text: Fotografiet är ett porträtt av Johan August Svahn. Född 1830 i Karlslund, Visnums socken. Död 1903 i Nysund, Visnums socken. Gift med Maria Ottiliana Runqvist 1854. Den förste mjölnare Svahn, av tre, på Forsviks kvarn. Makarna flyttade till Forsvik 1855. 1881 återflyttade de till Visnums socken samtidgt som sonen Carl Wiktor Svahn blev Forsviks kvarns andre Svhanmjölnare.
