View of a town built along a river. The Auxerre Cathedral, a large Gothic cathedral, is visible on the right area of the image. There is an arched bridge spanning the river. The Gothic bell tower of St. Peter's Church is visible on the opposite side of the town from the cathedral. There is an obelisk in front of the bell tower.
