Body for a gown made of white cotton printed with small motifs in red, green and yellow, with long sleeves and ending in a point. Along the cuffs a border a la disposition. Closure with eight (missing) buttons in the middle of the front.\The printed cotton of the bodice was a fashionable fabric for a day dress or for an afternoon dress.\The bodice can be dated between 1860-1865. The point in the middle of the front at the bottom was fashionable around 1860, while the tight sleeves are towards the fashion of 1865.\The fabric along the cuffs, called a la disposition, was fashionable around 1855…
