City-käytävän liikkeistä kuvassa ovat Kirjapaino-osakeyhtiö Sana ja Ab Handskmagasinet "City" Gyllene Skinnet. Vuonna 1912 perustettu Kotimaisen työn liitto (vuodesta 1992 Suomalaisen työn liitto) järjesti jo seuraavan vuonna ensimmäisen Suomalaisen viikon kotimaisen teollisuuden edistämiseksi.
