Speculators kapten var J.F. Rappon. Kopia av J. Sjöstrand efter original tillhörande Kalmar Sjömanshus. - Originalet har följande text: Speculator da Calmar. J.F. Rappon Comm der Nella Rada Di Livorno. Obs! svenska flaggan är ren, och österrikiska flaggan syns i land. Originalmålningen måste vara gjord före 1815 då vi fick unionstecknet i svenska flaggan. Speculator byggdes 1807. Motivet är alltså från någon gång mellan 1807 och 1815. Se S 1476.1 i Sjöhistoriska museet.
