Sepänkatu 1:n tontilla oli nelikerroksinen kivirakenteinen vuonna 1897 pystytetty uusrenessanssirakennus, joka purettiin uudisrakennuksen tieltä vuoden 1971 alussa. Talon seinässä oli tuolloin mainoskyltti: Rakennusliike Talotyö Oy rakentaa tähän 7 kerroksisen korkealuokkaisen asuintalon. Huoneistojen myynti ja esittely Rakennusliike Talotyö Oy, Iso-Roobertinkatu 17-19 puh. 640133 ja 643660.
