Huile sur toile signée en bas à droite Esquisse pour carton de tapisserie. Au premier plan, une architecture dessine trois arches dans lesquelles s'inscrivent trois scènes différentes dont une figure masculine et une ville avec une figure féminine. Cette esquisse est celle d’un carton de tapisserie commandé à Louis Anquetin par Gustave Geffroy, directeur de la manufacture des Gobelins, en 1912.
