Neben der Apotheke "zum Einhorn" der Familie Schwanckhardt gab es seit 1735 die Sonnenapotheke. Der Mannheimer Apotheker Wilhelm Friedrich Sonntag hatte eine Tochter aus der Familie geheiratet und sich in Speyer niedergelassen. Das Brustbild zeigt den wohlgenährten Apotheker mit grauer Allonge-Perücke, mit einem weißen Hemd, in der Mitte vorn offenstehender schwarze Weste mit Goldknöpfen, rotem Überrock - auch dieser offen stehend, mit goldenen Paspelierungen. Auf der Rückseite der Darstellung findet sich ein Zettel mit verfärbter Aufschrift: "Wilh. Friedrich Sonntag, Apotheker "zur Sonne" in Speyer, Geboren in Durlach am 12. Juli 1700, gest. in Speyer 1761, Sohn von Joh. Phil. Sonntag und Ursula, gebor. Seuterlin, in Durlach".
