sisällön kuvaus: Nykyinen kivirakenteinen silta valmistui vuonna 1912 ja se on järjestyksessään viides paikalle rakennettu silta. Pitkänsillan nimi juontaa aikaan ennen 1800-luvun loppua, jolloin nykyisen Siltasaaren alue vielä oli saari. Tuolloin saareen johti kaksi siltaa, joista nykyisen Pitkänsillan kohdalla kulkenut oli pidempi. Vasemmalla Siltavuorenranta 18 ja keskemmällä Kaisaniemen kasvitieteellisen puutarhan rakennuksia.
