Seitenteil eines Altartriptychons eines oberrheinischen Künstlers mit der Darstellung der Anbetung des Jesuskindes. Zusammengehörig mit HM_1979_0038_a und HM_1979_0038_b. Das neugeborene Christuskind liegt in einer Wiege im Stall von Bethlehem, während Ochse und Esel im Hintergrund aus der Krippe fressen. Joseph, Maria und drei Engel sind herangetreten, um das Jesuskund, das sowohl einen Heiligenschein hat, als auch vollständig von einer Gloriole umgeben ist, anzubeten. Die Engel halten ein Schriftband mit der Aufschrift "Ehre sei Gott in der Höhe" (Gloria in excelsis Deo). Dauerleihgabe des Ministeriums für Wissenschaft, Weiterbildung und Kultur; Rheinland-Pfalz.
