Elsa Maria Meléndez's 10 foot tall masterwork “Milk” has been acquired by the North Dakota Museum of Art. Recently on view at the Smithsonian Institution's National Portrait Gallery in the exhibition “The Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition, American Portraiture Today”. This amazing textile work is the only piece in the history of the competition to win two awards: one of the six Jury Prizes as well as the coveted “People's Choice” award
