Vorbereitende Zeichnung für den Kupferstich, der Carl August und Goethe in Goethes Salon am Tisch sitzend zeigt. Schwerdgeburth verwendete für diesen laut Schulte-Strathaus [1910], S. 88 das Brustbildnis Goethes, das er im Winter 1831/32 nach der Natur gezeichnet hatte.
