Bildnis des etwa 56-jährigen Walther Wolfgang von Goethe als Schulterstück in Dreiviertelansicht nach links, Blickrichtung geradeaus, mit zurückgekämmtem Haar, Schnauzer und leicht geöffnetem Mund. Da Junker seine wahrscheinlich zeitgleich angefertigten Kopien nach im Besitz der Enkel Goethes befindlichen Werken als solche ausdrücklich kennzeichnete (vgl. III-00971 bis III-00973, III-00976 bis III-00983), ist davon auszugehen, dass das vorliegende Blatt ebenso wie das Bildnis Wolfgang von Goethes (III-00969) nicht nach einem Vorbild sondern nach der eigenen Erinnerung der Begegnung Junkers mit den Brüdern Walther Wolfgang und Wolfgang Maximilian von Goethe entstanden ist.
