View of a series of steps that run the length of a steep street, possibly St. John Street, lined on both sides by multi-story buildings with enclosed balconies typically found in Malta. Visible in the foreground is a statue of an unidentified saint in an elaborate enclosure, usually found on street corners. Also visible are two unidentified people sitting on the steps.
