Holzstich aus einer Zeitschrift. Abgebildet ist ein Erdhügel, der als Grab für einen afrikanischen Häuptling des Bakongo Volkes dient. Das Grab ist vereinzelt mit Glasflaschen und Töpfen versehen und von Stangen/Stöckern umgeben, die weiteren Flaschen und Töpfen als Halterung dienen. Im Hintergrund sind Bäume und Hütten abgebildet. Aus: „Die Gartenlaube“, 1894, Heft. 38, S. 648. Die Bildlegende lautet: "Ein afrikanisches Häuptlingsgrab / Nach einem Aquarell von Bechuel Loesche."
