Ein gezeichneter, fast quadratischer Rahmen mit Blumengirlanden halbseitig oben rechts. Unten im Bild noch ganz schwach sichtbar die Stadt Köln, erkennbar am Rhein mit Schiffen und dahinter sich erhebender Stadtanlage. Über der Stadtansicht schwebt ein großer Wolkenkranz mit Aureole, auf dem die Muttergottes mit dem Christuskind thront. Maria trägt ein weites rotes Kleid, das von einem üppigen grünen Mantel umspielt wird. Im Wolkenkranz tummeln sich sieben Putti, die dem Christuskind zugewandt sind.
