Das Instrument mit einem Tonumfang von 4 Oktaven trägt auf dem Vorsatzbrett die Signatur „Agostinus Feroci Filius Micheaele Fecit A° 1705“, was das Objekt in die Nähe von Bartolomeo Cristofori rückt: Der Vater des Erbauers, Michele Feroci, könnte möglicherweise ein Schüler Cristoforis gewesen sein. Der an einer Seite gebogene fünfeckige Kasten des Spinetts war ursprünglich hellblau, nun aber ist er grün angestrichen. Die Deckelinnenseite ist reich ausgestattet mit einem voll ausfüllenden Ölgemälde, das eine Wasserlandschaft mit Architekturkulisse und Staffagefiguren zeigt. Die Ausmalung der Klappe, die die Tastatur abdeckt, mit Grotesken und Wappen dagegen ist neueren Ursprungs. [Till Stehr]
