Max Liebermann bestätigt Oscar Schmitz dessen Vorkaufsrecht auf zwei Bilder, falls diese nicht von der Dresdener Galerie oder dem Staat Sachsen gekauft werden. Dies hat er Theodor Stoperan von der Kunsthandlung Paul Cassirer so auch mitgeteilt. Der Brief wurde auf dem Kopfbogen des "HOTEL ROSE WIESBADEN" geschrieben.
