1889 wurde das Gasthaus Colin eröffnet als Restaurant und Weinhandel. Weinbau, Weinhandel und Spirituosenherstellung gehörte neben der Gaststätte bis zum Ende des Weinbaus in Bodendorf/Ahr zu den Geschäftsfeldern. 1972 Übernahm in der vierten Generation Peter Cholin das Gasthaus und beute es um. Die Fotos entstanden vor den umfangreichen Umbauten. Die Toreinfahrt wurde entfernt, eine neuen Betondecke eingezogen und die untere Etage in einen Gastraum umgestaltet. Die Außenfassade erhielt einen keramischen Belag.
