Schwarz-weiß Fotografie der Pionierbrücke, die 1940 durch das Bataillon 211 unter dem Kommandeur Major Rothe gebaut wurde. Trotz strengen Winters und Hochwassers bauten sie neben dem Fußgängersteg eine 72 Meter lange und 4 Meter breite befahrbare Holzbrücke. Über die Brücke gehen im Bild zwei Pioniersoldaten von der Dorfseite zum Kurgebiet. Das Bataillon gehörte zur 211. Infanterie-Division und war im Bodendorf/Ahr 1939/1940 einquartiert.
