Farbkopie (13 x 11 cm, Blattmaß 23,5 x 16 cm, Bruststück, Halbprofil) des Schweizer Botanikers Augustin-Pyramus de Candolle (1778–1841) im Alter von 60 Jahren nach dem Gemälde von Joseph Hornung (1792–1870, siehe https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Hornung, 18.06.2024) von 1838; darunter typographisch "MDCCLXXIIX-MDCCCXLI / D M / AVG . P . CANDOLLEO BOT . PONTIF / BOTANICI COL . AVG . ALLOBROG . / PIO GRATOQVE ANIMO / AN . P . N . CC / V . S . L . M .". Auf der Rückseite typographisch die Ergänzung zur Vorderseite "D[is] M[anibus], Aug[ustino] P[yramo] Candolleo Bot[anicae] Pontif[ici] Botanici Col[oniae] / Aug[usteae] Allobrog[um nostri aevi], pio gratoque animo[,] an[no] p[ost] n[atum suum duo- / centesimo,] v[otum] s[olvunt,] l[ibentes,] m[erito]." und darunter auf französisch "Portrait à l´huile, grandeur naturelle, de A.-P. de Candolle âgé de 60 ans, / peint parJ. Hornung en 1838. / Bibliothèque publique et universitaire de Genève.".
