Die Lithografie zeigt eine Ansicht des Mineralbrunnens am Sulzerrain in Cannstatt, dem Vorgänger des heutigen Wilhelmsbrunnens hinter dem Kursaalgebäude. Der offene, von einem Kegeldach gedeckte Pavillon, der in der Bildmitte zu sehen ist und die als Brunnen gefasste Minralquelle umschloss, war von Hofbaumeister Nikolaus von Thouret entworfen und 1819 erbaut worden. Rechts davon ist bereits der Mittelbau des Kursaalgebäudes zu sehen, das ebenfalls Thouret konzipiert hatte. Im Vordergrund flanieren zahlreiche Spaziergänger durch die Grünanlage.
