Der Titelinschrift zufolge entstand die Lithografie, als der Kursaal und die beiden diesen links und rechts flankierenden Brunnengebäude in Bad Canstatt gebaut wurden. Der Blick erfolgt aus einiger Distanz über eine niedrige, teilweise verfallene Mauer schräg von links vorne auf das Bauensemble. Das von Hofarchitekt Nikolaus von Thouret entworfene Kursaalgebäude ist noch nicht verputzt, die Ziegelmauern liegen offen. Rechts im Bildhintergrund ist die Grabkapelle auf dem Württemberg dargestellt.
