Insbesondere die aufwendige Frisur der Dame mit den weißen Schleifen erinnert an Bildnisse, die Diego Velasquez um 1650 von der jungen spanischen Infantin Maria Teresa (1638-1683) angefertigt hatte, der späteren Königin von Frankreich. Die insgesamt allerdings wenig raffinierte Ausführung lässt zweifeln, ob es sich tatsächlich um eine zeitgenössische Ölminiatur handelt.
