Die Druckgrafik zeigt eine Ansicht des Hauptpostamts, das nach dem Entwurf Alexander von Tritschlers Ende der 1860er-Jahre in der Schlossstraße in Stuttgart erbaut wurde. Der Blick erfolgt schräg von links vorne; am linken Blattrand ist der seitliche Portikus des Königsbaus zu sehen. Auf den Straßen und dem Vorplatz des Baus sind zahlreiche Staffagefiguren dargestellt.
