Franz Schnorr (1794-1859) schuf 1826 diese Ansicht des "alten Schloss-Platzes" und später Schillerplatz genannten Platzes im Zentrum Stuttgarts. Links sind das Alte Schloss und das Gebäude "König von England" zu sehen, in der Mitte Stiftskirche und Fruchtkasten, rechts der Prinzenbau. Max Schefold (Ansichten aus Württemberg Bd. 1, S. 74 und 111) vermutet, dass Schnorr häufig mit einer Camera Obscura arbeitete, um seine Vorlagen zu erstellen.
