View of blanket boats lashed together on the Potomac River. The boats are filled with men to ferry them across. A rope hangs low above the boat and runs from one side of the river to the other so that the occupants of the boat can pull it across. Several men sit on the riverbank in the background to observe in front of blanket boats resting on the grass.
