Die Allianztafel erklärt die Blutsverwandtschaft zwischen den Häusern Habsburg und Württemberg. Die zwei sich nur einmal kreuzenden Stammbäume gehen von den Heldenahnen Kaiser Rudolf I. von Habsburg und Graf Eberhard I. von Württemberg aus, die gleichberechtigt vor einer Landschaft (mit Stuttgart am linken Bildrand) thronen. Dieses friedliche Nebeneinander herrschte allerdings erst am Ende heftiger Auseinandersetzungen. Zur Zeit Herzog Ulrichs (reg. 1503-1519 und 1534-1550) stand Württemberg 14 Jahre lang unter habsburgischer Herrschaft. Die Allianztafel der Häuser Habsburg und Württemberg wurde von Jonathan Sautter nach Angaben von Oswald Gabelkover angefertigt. Sie stammt aus der herzoglichen Kunstkammer.
