Max Liebermann dankt Adolf Behne für den Durchschlag des Vortrages, den dieser im Rundfunk über Kunstkritik gehalten hat und darin auf ein Gemälde des Malers Bezug genommen hatte. Liebermann erwähnt die Fehleinschätzungen, die im Prozess um gefälschte van Gogh-Bilder, mit denen Otto Wacker gehandelt hatte, durch Kritiker gemacht wurden.
