Die Aquatinta zeigt eine Ansicht von Schloss Hohenheim. Der Blick erfolgt aus Süden, von der Gartenseite aus. Er verläuft gerade aus den Hauptweg entlang auf den Eingang des Gebäudes zu. Da das Schloss aus einiger Distanz geschildert wird, ist die fächerförmige Anlage des Gartengeländes gut zu erkennen, das entgegen der topographischen Gegebenheiten flach geschildert ist. Staffagefiguren und eine Kutsche in Fahrt beleben die Szene. Das beschnittene Blatt stammt aus der Serie der Ansichten Hohenheims von Viktor Heideloff, die ab 1795 in Nürnberg erschien.
