Friederike Dorothea Sophia von Brandenburg-Schwedt (1736-1798), die Gemahlin Herzog Friedrich Eugens von Württemberg (1732-1797), ließ 1796 einen Schlosspark neu anlegen, der auf dem heutigen Gebiet von Stuttgart-Fasanenhof lag. Es wurde ein künstlicher See mit zwei Inseln geschaffen; auf der einen soll eine Moschee, auf der anderen ein Tempel zu Ehren der Blumengöttin Flora gestanden haben. Der kolorierte Stich von Viktor Heideloff aus dem Jahr 1796 zeigt den See mit zumindest einer der Inseln. Links ist das Gebäude der Moschee zu sehen. Im Vordergrund des Bildes amüsiert sich eine höfische Gesellschaft.
