Die Darstellung auf der Rückseite geht auf ein 1464 entstandenes Gemälde des Domenico di Michelino im Dom von Florenz zurück. Vgl. Hill (1930) 281. Vorderseite: Büste des Dante Alighieri nach links. Rückseite: Dante steht nach links und weist auf den Berg des Fegefeuers, auf dem Adam und Eva beiderseits des Baumes der Erkenntnis stehen. Oben die sieben Halbkreise des Himmels. Provenienz: Mindestens seit 1882 im Bestand des Münzkabinetts.
