Das Blatt gehört zu einer Reihe von Porträtskizzen, die Joseph Joachim von Schnizer 1814 im Rahmen der Napoleonischen Feldzüge schuf. Die Zeichnung zeigt Kronprinz Friedrich Wilhelm, den späteren König Wilhelm I. von Württemberg, im Brustausschnitt. Sein Kopf ist im Profil von links mit einem federgeschmücktem Zweispitz wiedergegeben. Es existieren weitere Zeichnungen dieses Skizzenkonvoluts, die ebenfalls den Kronprinzen abbilden (vgl. Inv.-Nr. 9050/03683-1 und 9050/03683-2).
